Overview of Cyprus Institute PhD Scholarships in Computational Sciences

The Computational Sciences Doctoral program educates potential scholars in mathematical modelling.  And in computational methods and techniques needed to solve complex scientific and engineering problems. As well as in management and visualization of complex data sets.

VI-SEEM aims at creating a unique Virtual Research Environment (VRE) in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean (SEEM). This is to facilitate regional interdisciplinary collaboration, with special focus on the scientific communities.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing a PhD programme.

Study Subject: Creation of Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) for the promotion of Biology Teaching through Bioinformatics (BTBI) Scheme of BTISet

Scholarship Award: Successful candidates will receive financial support for up to three years which is the minimum duration of the PhD studies at the CyI. The financial support is in the form of a stipend of 14,000 EUR per annum for living expenses.

Scholarship can be taken in the Cyprus.

Eligibility: Applications are welcome from outstanding candidates worldwide with relevant scientific background and a keen interest in computational science for studies starting either in the Spring Semester 2016-2017 or in the Fall Semester 2017-2018.
