The New York Military Academy was founded in 1889 and is located at Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Its acceptance rate is 50%–55%.
However, it is one of the oldest military schools in the United States that previously only admitted students. Kids in Grades 8-12 can attend the institution.

Only 100 students attend the school, which makes it incredibly exclusive. Also, classrooms are tiny, with an average 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio. This selective school boasts an average SAT score of 1200.
2. Fork Union Military Academy
Fork Union Military Academy was founded in 1898, and is located in a small village in central Virginia. Its acceptance rate stands at 55%–60%.
However, the serenity of the remote campus has led to its popularity and therefore made it one of the most exclusive in the country.
Also, Fork Union Military Academy is only open to enrollment for male students. It endows several scholarships each year to cadets based on various qualifications, with an emphasis on leadership, character, and academic performance.
Meanwhile, the school admits kids from Grades 7-12 and the enrollment is only 330 students. Attendees receive a unique “One-Subject Plan” curriculum in which only a single subject is studied for seven weeks. However, students at Fork Union have an average SAT score of 1110.
3. Missouri Military Academy
Missouri Military Academy is in rural Missouri, Mexico. It was founded in1889 and its acceptance rate stands at 60%–70%.
The prep school boards all its students and relies on a heavy military tradition and a focus on academic excellence.
However, the school is currently exclusive to just boys and preps students in Grades 7-12. Also, its 360-Degree Education promotes academic excellence, physical development, powerful character, personal motivation, and leadership skills.
Meanwhile, the average SAT score at Missouri Military Academy is 1148, and the average ACT score is 23. Also, their teacher-to-student ratio is 1:11 with the classroom size being small with an average of 14 students.
4. Admiral Farragut Academy
Admiral Farragut Academy is a private military prep school that allows boys and girls. It was founded in 1933 and is located in Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg. Its acceptance rate is 90%.
However, it provides classroom instruction for Grades 8-12. Also, the academy offers signature programs, including Naval Science (Military), Aviation, Engineering, Marine Science, Scuba, and AP Capstone.
Meanwhile, the military prep school has a little over 300 students with an average classroom size of 17, and a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:15. However, the academy also accredits FCIS, SACS, TABS, SAIS, and NAIS.

5. Camden Military Academy
The Camden Military Academy is located in Camden, South Carolina. It was founded in 1892 and it has an acceptance rate of 80%.
The institution endorses a motto of “whole man” in terms of its approach to academia and is only open to students in Grades 7-12.
However, Camden Military Academy has a total of 300 students, making it one of the more exclusive military boarding schools in the nation.
Also, the average class size is 12 students with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7 providing a ton of face-to-face interaction. Meanwhile, students’ average score is 1050 on the SAT, and 24 on the ACT.
